Fed rate hike in June likely

“The Fed has shifted from, ‘if the data pattern improves we will have the green light to hike,’ to ‘unless the data pattern weakens we have the green light to hike,’” Gundlach, 56, wrote in an e-mail Thursday.

Last time stocks had a conniption fit.

This time?  I don’t know.  But stocks have paused their climb in part due to that worry.  The worry of what other market participants are thinking.

I think the hawkish statements in the Fed minutes was just to test the waters. If the market doesn't react negatively that will give them confidence to raise rates in June.  Remember, they really really want to raise rates very very badly.
